Terms of Service

Introduction

Welcome to CashPilot. These Terms of Service govern your use of the CashPilot mobile application. By creating an account and using CashPilot you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully before using the app.

1. What CashPilot Is

CashPilot is a personal finance tracking and budgeting application. It allows you to log transactions, set budgets, track savings goals, manage debts, and receive AI-powered financial insights. CashPilot is a software tool and not a financial institution, bank, investment advisor, or licensed financial planner.

2. Important Disclaimer — CashPilot is Not Financial Advice

Nothing in CashPilot, including all AI-generated responses, financial health scores, spending analyses, savings recommendations, debt payoff strategies, and any other content produced by the app, constitutes professional financial advice, investment advice, tax advice, or legal advice. All AI-generated content is produced by an automated system and is intended for informational and educational purposes only. CashPilot does not have access to your complete financial picture and cannot account for your individual circumstances. You should consult a qualified and licensed financial advisor, tax professional, or legal advisor before making any significant financial decision. CashPilot, its developers, and its operators are not liable for any financial decisions you make based on information presented in the app.

3. AI Features and Third-Party Processing

CashPilot uses Claude, an AI service provided by Anthropic, PBC, to power AI features within the app. Before any personal data is transmitted to Anthropic for the first time, you will be shown a specific consent prompt within the app identifying Anthropic as the recipient of your data and describing what is sent. You must explicitly confirm this consent before any AI feature activates. This consent is separate from your acceptance of these Terms of Service and cannot be satisfied by simply accepting these terms.

You may withdraw your consent for AI data processing at any time by disabling AI features in the Settings page. When AI features are disabled no data is sent to Anthropic. AI responses are generated automatically and may not always be accurate, complete, or appropriate for your personal situation. You use AI features at your own discretion. 4. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate information when creating your account. You must be at least 17 years old to use CashPilot. You must not use CashPilot for any unlawful purpose.

5. AI Token Limits

CashPilot includes a monthly AI usage allowance of 150,000 tokens. This allowance resets on the first of each calendar month. Additional permanent bonus tokens may be earned through in-app milestones and are not subject to monthly reset. When your monthly allowance is exhausted, AI features will be temporarily unavailable until the next monthly reset. We reserve the right to adjust usage limits with reasonable notice to users.

6. Your Data

You own your financial data. CashPilot does not claim any ownership over the transactions, goals, or financial information you enter. You can export your data at any time from the Settings page. You can delete your data and account at any time from the Settings page. Deletion requests are processed within 7 days of confirmation.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to attempt to access other users' data. You agree not to reverse engineer or tamper with the app. You agree not to use the app in any way that violates applicable law. You agree not to submit false or misleading information. You agree not to attempt to circumvent any security or access control measure in the app.

8. Account Suspension and Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms of Service. If your account is suspended you will see a notice in the app explaining that your access has been restricted. You may contact us at support@cashpilot.cash to appeal a suspension. You may terminate your own account at any time from the Settings page. Upon termination your personal data will be permanently deleted within 7 days of your confirmed deletion request.

9. Service Availability

We strive to keep CashPilot available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance at any time during which the app may be temporarily unavailable. We are not liable for any losses caused by downtime or service interruptions.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, CashPilot and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app, including any financial decisions made based on content or AI outputs presented in the app.

11. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec, Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the app. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
